Information for NABF Prospective Teams and Coaches

The 2008 NABF Sophomore Division World Series will start with registration on Tuesday July 22nd and play beginning on Wednesday July 23rd.

This event will be scheduled under the modified round robin format. 1st and 2nd place finishers of each bracket

Listed below you will find complete information and instructions regarding this event:

1. Registration: Teams will register on Tuesday July 22nd with play beginning on Wednesday July 23rd. Important: Each Team Manager must call Jerry Salyers (888) 228-2891 (CBW) or (937) 901-7616 (Cell) Please provide your estimated arrival time to Springboro, Ohio and hopefully any questions you might have pertaining to the tournament, hotel information etc. will be made available on our tournament web site - http://www.NABFsophomoreworldseries.com.

Headquarters and Place of Team Registration and Managers Meeting

Registration will be at Brandt Field at Custom Bat Works, 200 South Pioneer Boulevard, Springboro, Ohio 45066.

Registration 1:00PM to 4:30PM

Managers Meeting 5PM

Opening Ceremonies (in Full Uniform) 6:30PM

MANDATORY FOR ALL PLAYERS!

2008 NABF Sophomore Division World Series Pairings will be made via a draw at NABF Headquarters prior to the start of this event.

  1. Team Rosters and Eligibility Lists: The team manager must deliver the following to the Tournament Committee upon arrival.
  2. a. Official team roster: Each team must submit three (3) copies of their official team roster. (both sides of the roster form must be completed (TYPED) to the Series Tournament Director.)

    b. Eligibility List: The eligibility list of all players from your age group league must be submitted to NABF Headquarters not less than 15 days prior to the report date of this tournament.

    c. Birth Certificates: Required for all players on the team.

    Note: All players and team personnel must register at the Classic site with proper identification see Rule 6.08 (Please review all eligibility rules.)

  3. Insurance: All teams participating in an NABF sanctioned tournament must carry a $1,000,000.00 liability policy. The team must have a copy of the policy with them in order to be eligible for play. Also, the NABF must be named as one of the insured on this policy which will cover public bodily injury and property damage liability per occurrence.

  1. Gate Admissions:

The gate admission will be handled at the manager’s meeting. The cost per family rostered is $25.00 and will cover any and all family members and friends. (Example – If you have 10 players on your roster, the gate fee for your team is $250.00.) This is much cheaper for your families in attendance. The fee is due at time of check in. The fee includes a Series T-Shirt for each registered player!

Reminder: All player uniforms MUST display the NABF logo patch on the sleeve of their uniform or on the front.

Coaches: Please familiarize yourself with all tournament rules and regulations. All information pertaining to this event can be found in Section 9 of the NABF Constitution, By-Laws, and Tournament Rules.

Opening Night: We will have a panoramic picture taken during opening ceremonies.
